There were 3,653 housing units at an average density of 77.2/km² (199.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.17% White, 3.23% African American, 0.72% Native American, 0.63% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.64% from other races, and 1.57% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.57% of the population. There were 3,485 households out of which 44.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.2% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% were non-families. 13.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
