Dacula is located at 33°59'15?N, 83°53'31?W (33.987598, -83.891926)GR1.According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.5 km² (2.9 mi²), all land. Dacula's name comes from the letters of Decatur and Atlanta, two large cities at the time of Dacula's founding. The city recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. The city was once home to a train station on a CSX line through Northeast Georgia, although the station closed back in the mid 1950's. The city has experienced immense growth from a small, one light town in the early to late 80's, to now having nearly 10 public schools both from the Dacula and Mill Creek clusters of GCPS. It is also home to one of the largest Southern Baptist Church in the Southeast United States, Hebron Baptist Church, who recently finished construction of a 3,850 seat auditorium, just some evidence of Dacula's incredible growth. -- Source: Wikipedia.com
