There were 3,714 housing units at an average density of 182.7/km² (473.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.09% White, 0.19% African American, 0.76% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.94% from other races, and 1.40% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.43% of the population. There were 3,501 households out of which 36.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.3% were married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
