As of the census of 2000, there were 1,964 people, 746 households, and 511 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 320.0/km² (829.8/mi²). There were 794 housing units at an average density of 129.4/km² (335.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.13% White, 0.41% Asian, 0.10% from other races, and 0.36% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.25% of the population.
There were 746 households out of which 31.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.8% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.4% were non-families. 26.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.92.
