The City of Camden is the county seat of Camden County, New Jersey in the United States. It is located just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of the United States 2000 Census, the city had a total population of 79,904. Camden is the home of one of Rutgers' three campuses, with the other two being in New Brunswick, and Newark. Rutgers is the State University of New Jersey. The USS New Jersey is preserved as a museum on Camden's Delaware River waterfront. It along with the Adventure Aquarium, the Tweeter Center, and Campbell's Field, make up the Camden Waterfront. Campbell's Field is the home of the Camden Riversharks minor league baseball team. Riverfront State Prison is immediately adjacent to the ballpark on the other side of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Camden may be best-known as the former home of the once vast RCA Victor manufacturing complex, from 1901 through 1986, and the Campbell Soup Company. -- Source: Wikipedia.com
