The population density was 869.6/km² (2,254.9/mi²). There were 2,922 housing units at an average density of 328.9/km² (852.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 91.52% White, 2.65% African American, 0.10% Native American, 2.50% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 1.81% from other races, and 1.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.38% of the population. There were 2,824 households out of which 35.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.6% were married couples living together, 11.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.3% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
