Bartlett is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee and a suburb of the Memphis metropolitan area. As of the census of 2000, there were 40,543 people, 13,773 households, and 11,817 families residing in the city. There were 13,773 households out of which 44.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.6% were married couples living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.2% were non-families. 12.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
