Marysville is host to five high schools: Marysville-Pilchuck High School, Heritage High School, Marysville Alternative High School, Grace Academy, and Marysville Arts and Technology High School. Last year, Marysville Arts and Technology High School (A&T) scored higher on the WASL than any other school in Snohomish County. Marysville-Pilchuck (MP) has the second largest campus in the state and the highest number of students in any high school in Washington. The popular chant "chop" which promoted the mascot, Marysville Pilchuck Tomahawks, was officially banned in 2002 because it was considered offensive.
